Tobey's Surgery

I know that some of you have been wondering about Tobey's surgery where he had tubes placed into both ears and his adnoids removed, so I wanted to show you some pictures and assure you that everything has turned out wonderfully.

Here we have a concerned Mookie the Monkey making sure that Tobey calls all his friends before the surgery to tell them that he loves them.

Here Tobey is making sure that Daddy has the correct attire to escort him to the operating room.

And here is the moment that Mommy & Daddy wanted to just run this sweet baby out of the hospital and spare him the pain that he was about to experience.

Well, we didn't take him out and he definitely let us know he was extremely upset with us when he saw us in recovery. It took him about 10 minutes to calm down and take a little nap in the recovery room, but after the snooze, our bobble-head baby was just as sweet as he was when he went in for the operation.

It has now been a week, and Tobey has done very well recovering. In fact, the very next day you would never have known that he had just had surgery. Funny how kids react completely different after traumatic experiences than adults do. He will never remember anything from this day. (Thank goodness...)

Oh, and Nanny...

Tobey said he is very sorry for throwing-up on you after the surgery. He wanted to know if you needed a new sweater...
