The Nutcracker 2007

This year's performance was great!
As a first time back stage mom, I learned what it REALLY takes to put on a professional performance...ALOT!
This is a picture of the Snow Princess with all the little snow flurries.
(Ema is in the back row middle)
We weren't allowed to take flash photography during the performances so this is the only picture that we have.
We should receive the DVD of the entire performance soon. We will invite everyone over to watch it... :)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN (finally!)

Here are the pics of the kids at a Fall Festival wearing their halloween costumes:

Sleeping Beauty atop her royal stallion:

David Beckham himself isn't as cute a soccer player as our future star!

Viva Futbol!

I know it is late, but I finally got my hands on pictures of Tobey's 1st birthday party.

These are the cupcakes we offered our guests.
(the black icing was "fabulous" for our smiles!)

Next we have the entertainment of the party!
CAKE DEMOLITION TIME, BABY!!!

And here is the birthday boy enjoying the best part of the celebration,
PRESENTS!
It was a great day! I'm glad that I can finally share it with those of you
that weren't able to come.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOBEY!

UPDATES

I am short on pictures, because everyone else seems to take them for us and not send them to me, but I wanted to let you know what has been going on with us...

TOBEY
  • Tobey turned 1 on Aug 12. I can't believe how fast he has grown...

  • He began walking a day or two before his birthday. Now, no one can keep up! :)

  • He is teething like CRAZY! He gets 2 & 3 teeth at a time. Poor thing, he can't take anything slow!

EMA
  • She started Pre-K this year and is loving every minute of it. There are some days when we have to wait for her when we pick her up... Her teachers say she is already ready for kindergarten and they compare many of the other children to her. But, I am not ready for her to be in kindergarten! (she's still my baby!)

  • We have begun another year of ballet. The exciting part of this year is that Ema auditioned and made it into Griffin Ballet Theater's production of "The Nutcracker" as a snow flurry. If any one is interested in tickets, please let me know. The shows will be the weekend of Thanksgiving.

There always seems to be something going on with us, that is the reason it has taken so long for me to include these updates. I'll be sure to find pics up to date and also include the upcoming halloween photos that are sure to be FABULOUS!

We love you all!

Our Tiny Dancer (con't)

These are the pictures of Ema's dance recital costumes. Her performance was on June 2 & 3 and she did AMAZING! We were all worried that she would catch a now common re-occurance of stage fright, but she surprised us all and went out onto the stage and danced her little heart out! The teal costume was for her tap dance and the song was called "Teach me how to shimmy." The tutu full of pink bows is for the ballet performance to "Dancing Cheek to Cheek."

We will eventually be mailed the DVD copy of the entire recital so if anyone wants to relive this sweet memory with us, let us know and we'll make you a copy!

Here are some pictures from the actual performance...

We hope you enjoy these pictures at least half as much as we enjoyed the actual performances!

WAY TOO FAST

In less than 2 months Tobey will be 1! It is amazing how fast time flies when your children are little. It also amazes me the speed that your 2nd child grows up... almost double that of your first! It seems like yesterday we were headed to the hospital not sure if we were supposed to be there 5 weeks early of our due date, and now here we are with an almost toddler!

2 new things!

Last Sunday, Tobey took off crawling after Ema's Dora the Explorer dominos! If I had known that dominos were what it took, I would have bought them a long time ago. He has been mobile ever since. I don't have a picture yet, but I will add one as soon as I can slow down after him long enough to grab the camera!

On Wednesday, after three years of tasting metal, I was finally able to have my braces removed! I'm sure that most of you remember the awkwardness of my two front teeth. Well, no more! My teeth look amazing!

Take a look...

Hope all is well with you and your families.
(Sheree, we want more pics on your blog!!!)

UPDATE (finally!)

I know that it has been a while since our last post, but in the chaos
of the new year and the fact that the children are growing up too fast,
I haven't hardly even had time to wash my hair!
I just wanted to let everyone know that we are all doing great.
Tobey is sitting up and wanting to crawl or walk so bad that
he can't stand it. Ema is doing great in school. Cisco will be taking
her to her class tomorrow so that they can attend the annual "Daddy's Breakfast." (so sweet!)
Cisco and I are having so much fun watching the kids learn new
things everyday, and also realizing that there is nothing else like
having them or each other. I hope that everyone is doing okay.
If not, I am usually at home if anyone needs anything.

Here are some pics, just because...
